Principal Archaeologist/Project Manager

As Principal Archaeologist, you will:

  • Be part of a dynamic team providing a full range of archaeological services for diverse projects.
  • Manage and oversee archeological surveys, excavations, and monitoring.
  • Mentor archaeologists and review their work products.
  • Prepare work plans, research designs, complex technical reports, and impact assessments.
  • Conduct client coordination, project management, and business development.

As Principal Archaeologist, you are:

  • An expert in the analysis and documentation of complex archaeological data.
  • A team leader experienced in supervising and mentoring archaeologists.
  • Familiar with federal and state cultural resources regulations.
  • Happy being on the road at times– visiting job sites, meeting with potential customers.

As Principal Archaeologist, you have:

  • Master’s Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in cultural resources management in California.
  • Proven skills as a Project Manager/Principal Investigator.
