Alta Archaeological Consulting (ALTA) is seeking experienced Field Archaeologists to join our team for upcoming large-scale survey and excavation projects in Northern California. These projects offer an excellent opportunity to work in diverse landscapes while contributing to meaningful cultural resource management efforts.
Position Details:
Pay Rate: $25–$32.50 per hour (based on education and experience) Per Diem: Provided at the GSA rate Project Locations: Northern California Duration: Varies by project; opportunities for extended fieldwork Responsibilities: Conduct field surveys, excavations, site recording, and artifact identification following professional archaeological standards
Requirements:
Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field Field experience in archaeological survey and/or excavation Ability to work in rugged terrain and varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
