Field archaeologist responsible for construction monitoring; must have artifact and site identification and North America prehistoric and historic archaeology experience; Northern California prehistoric archaeology experience is ideal; osteology identification - human and non-human; experience with National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) evaluations; California DPR or other state site or artifact recording experience. Field archaeology experience that includes excavation, testing, unit set up and excavation, pedestrian surveys, site recording, daily work notes, professional level writing skills. Experience working with or on large scale construction projects is preferred, as is consulting with contractors, US Army Corps of Engineers archaeology, and Native American tribe representatives. Must have a graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field and meet the SOI (Secretary of the Interior) Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology, and additional requirements, as follows:
A. At least one year of full-time professional archaeological experience;
B. At least four months of supervised field and analytic experience in general North American archaeology;
C. Demonstrated ability to identify and assess subsurface and surface archaeological deposits.
D. Demonstrated ability to complete National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) evaluations for cultural resources;
E. Demonstrated ability to carry archaeological research to completion;
