Evans & De Shazo, Inc. (EDS) is seeking an Archaeological Monitor/Surveyor to join our team in the northern San Francisco Bay Area. As an Archaeological Monitor/Surveyor, you will assist principal and senior archaeologists with field survey work, construction monitoring, excavation, and site recording. You will be responsible for various project tasks, including working independently, coordinating with construction crews and tribal monitors, monitoring construction progress, maintaining detailed records, and identifying and documenting cultural resources. The position may involve working with other EDS archaeologists, as well as construction crews, Native American monitors, and agency personnel.
EDS offers a competitive hourly wage, mileage, and drive time reimbursement, when applicable, and a friendly work environment. The hourly compensation for this position ranges from $28-$38/hour, depending on education and experience. The position is temporary (summer/fall) but has the potential to become permanent.
