The Associate State Archeologist assigned to the Cultural Resources Program in the Bay Area District will function as the district expert on archaeological matters and may also serve as the District Tribal Liaison. The position is responsible for planning and implementing programs and projects to preserve and enhance the cultural resources throughout the district's 16 park units. The Associate State Archeologist is responsible for the identification, inventory, investigation, protection, and management of cultural resources. The incumbent must be able to manage multiple tasks at a time, adapt to changes in priorities, and complete tasks with short notice.
