Seasonal Archaeological Technician
Temporary / Seasonal Archaeological Technicians for 2026 Field Season
Native-X, Inc. is looking for the right individuals. We need three or four archaeological technicians to assist our core group in conducting surveys for projects in northern California, southeastern Oregon, and possibly Nevada for the 2026 field season. Fieldwork begins in April / May.
Experience in California and Great Basin archaeology is preferred but not necessary. Successful candidates will have at least a BA/BS degree in anthropology/archaeology and at least 2 months survey experience. Experienced Tribal members are also encouraged to apply. Most projects will require easy camping and a few may utilize motels. The ability to walk 6-8 miles a day across a variety of terrain is also a must. Projects are already scheduled into October depending on weather conditions. Hourly wage $25 an hour. Per diem and lodging paid during work sessions. Native-X is celebrating its 28th year conducting archaeological investigations. We prefer individuals who work hard, like to learn, and who are comfortable in a small group setting… and of course like dogs.
